The Langley Events Centre faithful Sunday night learned that Athan Iannucci likely merits his very own YouTube channel, Brodie MacDonald gets the short memory star goalies need and, more than anything, the Brampton Excelsiors can stay on task.

The Excelsiors didn't get flustered by standout efforts from the Langley Thunder's sniper and rookie netminder, saddled with their gameplan and came away having a 5-4 win in Game 4 with the Mann Cup.

The Excelsiors can cop the Canadian national Senior A box lacrosse championship Monday night on the LEC. Game 6, if required, is Wednesday with the LEC, while Game 7 would go there Thursday, if neccessary.

Brampton scored three times in three minutes, 47 seconds at the beginning of another to adopt that 5-4 lead.

Langley had some pressure using their netminder for the bench towards another attacker in the waning seconds, the same as they did in Saturday's 8-7 Brampton victory. Once again, these folks were stymied. The most beautiful chance Sunday came when Brampton netminder Anthony Cosmo needed to dart post-to-post to thwart the opportunity from Kyle Belton with 29 seconds to look.

MacDonald was the Langley netminder who needed to hustle off the floor now. On Saturday, it was Joe Bell, since MacDonald was pulled after stopping four goal on eight shots.

On Sunday, MacDonald was superb, making 34 saves. He was particularly good on Excelsiors star Dan Dawson, getting his right arm on the first period chance at 12:03 after which his left shoulder with a drive to the net at 6:46 of the second. He sprawled to make back-to-back saves on Zack Greer at 7:45 of the second.

Cosmo has also been strong inside Brampton net as well as the game was scoreless until the midway perhaps the second period, when Iannucci, and his awesome slick follow work. Surrounded by four Brampton players simply to the proper of the net, Langley's leading scorer was able to sneak an attempt by Cosmo at 11:04. There was so little time therefore little room you can bet the ball was even surprised where it found themselves.

His second goal, which made it 3-1 at 17:32 with the second, was even glitzier. Darting towards the net, the one-time 71-goal man inside the National Lacrosse League snagged a pass with one hand along with almost the identical motion, scooped a trial between Cosmo's legs.

Joe Walters, Sandy Chapman and MIke Hominuk provided the 3 third-period tallies for Brampton, who will be trying to become the sixth straight Ontario team to win the Mann Cup.

Dawson and Jarrett Davis had the opposite markers. Cosmo made 30 saves.

Mike Grimes and Kyle Belton also scored for Langley.
