All Umpires

A written test and field ratings are mandatory for scale and payment.  WSLUBs policy is that umpires enter into season with previous seasons rating (or as an apprentice, for new umpires). Through applying your knowledge and skills at on-field rating opportunities, you can rate higher.

Note: Ratings are not retroactive.  Umpires are paid at level you were the rated the previous season.  Upon completing a current season rating opportunity, if you do rate higher, you will then move higher on the pay scale from then on through the season.
