Seattle Area B Team

Our newly formed B team will teach you how to play the fastest game on two feet. Practices will be geared for beginners, though anyone wanting to hone their skills is welcome. We will focus on the fundamentals of the sport, technically, physically, and mentally. We'll practice once a week on Tuesdays at 6:30, starting Feb. 15th.

Bring a mouthguard (available at most drug stores or sports stores) and a stick. Aside from a regular coach, we'll also have rotating coaches from the club teams helping out, giving you fresh perspectives and insights into the game we all love.

The season goes through May, with tournaments in Walla Walla, Portland, and at UW. While the team won't go to the Western States tournament in sunny California this year, the club teams go every year, and we hope to follow suit with the B team next year. There is a play day for players of all ages on Sunday, Feb 13th at 1:00 at Overlake High School. It will be a great opportunity to come check things out, meet people, see what lacrosse looks like...email me if you need directions.

The costs for the season are about $50 per person for USL Membership (which includes insurance while playing lacrosse) - www.lacrosse.org even if you have your own health insurance, and probably another $50 per person to pay for ref's and tournaments, and if we get uniforms, it will help with that, but they'll probably be another $30.
