2003 - Middle School Team Camp

Walax.com will be sending two Middle School teams to Sonoma State with the opportunity to compete against teams from other Lacrosse areas. 40 of Washington State�s Middle School-age boys will travel to California for the opportunity to compete at the Adrenaline Team Shoot Out. Much of this camp emphasizes team play in every position. Experienced coaches and players alike demonstrate their knowledge of the game through a structured and enriching program of clinics and games. The process of selection will be as follows:

All interested players must complete the indication of interest form before April 30^th.
The coaches selection committee will select the 40 players and an alternate list by May 17^th. Players will be notified by email.
Selected players will have until May 31^st to complete their registration forms and pay their registration fees.
Team practices (4 weekday evening practices -2 weekend practices) will begin in late June. Each player must attend a minimum of 4 of these practices.
The team will travel by bus on July 18th from the Mercer Island Park and Ride, returning early morning on the 23rd.

Other Details:

- July 19-22 at Sonoma State University

- Open to all Washington State Boys Middle School players from 6th to 8th grade as of fall 2003.

- Team Dues: $750

- Includes: Cost of camp, travel to Sonoma State, uniforms and a picnic!

Coaches: Four coaches will run two teams for six practices and attend the camp. Coaches will ride down and return with the kids. Last year, the camp was a great bonding experience for the high school boys.

The Under Armour Adrenaline Team Shoot Out is a unique opportunity for your team to compete against great teams from our area, as well as teams from other regions. See how Washington State Lacrosse stacks up against other lacrosse areas in a setting that benefits teams, individual players and coaches.

Held July 19-22nd at Sonoma State University, teams compete in a controlled, yet casual environment, allowing for fierce competition as well as fun and camaraderie. This type of camp format is common on the East coast, but travel distance and cost has eliminated many western teams from attending. Sonoma State is located just outside San Francisco, allowing teams from several regions to attend, and providing exceptional facilities including excellent fields and top-rated dorms.

Each team can bring 16-25 players, from sixth to eighth grade. You have the freedom to assemble players will be assembled from any school or area. A staff of All-American, professional and college players will be on hand to hold clinics, work with your players and train on various skills and team play.
