PNCLL Fall Meeting Minutes

1. Election of New Officers

President, Guy Antilla
Vice President, Joel Siderious

2. Schools with outstanding balances, Dan Wishengrad.

Schools with outstanding balances from the 1997 season will not be assigned referees for the 1998 season. The billing process that was instituted last year was a good "faith effort," thereby the referees agreed to be paid after games had been played.

• Other officiating business:

Referee recruiting from eastern Washington to officiate games for WSU,
Montana, Whitman

3. League dues/ invoices/USILA, Sam Sadtler

• USILA dues for each team: $125 per team - paid to Sam Sadtler by Dec 31, 1997
  USILA district assigning authority fee: $100 per team - paid to Sam
  Sadtler by Dec 31, 1997
  PNCLL dues $150 - paid to the treasurer
  Referee fees: $60/ref x 3 per game = $180 per game - paid to the treasurer
  Referee travel fees - TBA, paid to the treasurer
• Scheduling changes - need more notice. Cancellations or changes to scheduled games must be made 48 hours prior to the game to avoid payment of referee fees and travel.
• SFU - received a plaque for winning the PNCLL last year; received a USILA trophy for participation in tournament.

4. Tournament Site.

Mark Flood @ PNLA is the contact. Keeping the final tournament at PNLA offers the advantage of exposure to the game, nets & goals, and setup. If the league moves to a college site, Sam mentioned the immense preparation necessary. He suggested looking into it for the future. The league decided to go with PNLA for now and is taking proposals for future tournaments.

5. League Play.

• Montana - probationary status until financial debts fulfilled; no requirement for teams to schedule with Montana for the 1998 season.
• Willamette - offered probationary status for the 1998 season.
• Due dates for team payments to participate in the 1998 season:

1. $1000 deposit by February 15 for ref fees Balance by March 15.

• Next year - $1000 for deposit by the fall meeting, balance TBA

2. Roster due date: February 15.

• Checked that players are in good standing with their respective schools by registrar, stamped/notarized/signed by registrar and sent to Ben Braden.
• Player eligibility follows the Division III NCAA Eligibility Requirements.
