Dear NW High School Players:

If you are interested in playing intercollegiate lacrosse against some of the top teams in the country and would like to stay closer to home we invite you to look into the opportunities at Whittier College.

Founded in 1887, Whittier College is located 20 miles south of Los Angeles and occupies a 100 acre hillside location overlooking southern California. Our 1,350 undergraduate students may choose from over 50 academic areas of concentration and come from over 35 states and 15 foreign countries.

As you may already know the lacrosse program at Whittier is a member of the NCAA Division III (the only varsity division III program west of Colorado) and participates in the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League. Whittier has won the WCLL Championship in 9 of the last 14 years including 5 of the last 8 seasons, and since 1984 has posted an overall record of 223-38. The past eight Whittier teams have been nationally ranked in the USILA coach's poll and have produced four All American selections as well as seven North/South game participants.

I hope you will seriously consider Whittier as a place where you can continue your education and also make an impact with a lacrosse program on the move.

Please feel free to contact me at 562-907-4895 or my e-mail address is [email protected]
