  • WDIA will stay the same number of teams for 2005, no new additions, but hope to have Gonzaga University as a provisional member.
  • WDIA National Tournament will be May 11-14 (midweek) in Blaine, Minnesota, they are expanding from 12 to 16 teams in 2005.
  • WDIA National Tourney will rely heavily on laxpower.com rankings to determine at-large bids.  Teams must play outside the NW league to get noticed by the rankings committee.
  • We will add a "B" league for 2005:  Univ of Portland, Central Washington Univ, Univ of Oregon Club-B, and Whitman-B. They will get their own championship, complete with a trophy.
  • WDIA league schedule will be 9 games per team played over 3 weekends (3 games per weekend - 2 on Saturday, 1 on Sunday).  All WDIA teams will play each other once.
  • WDIA teams have the option of playing exhibition games on other weekends, against DIII teams, adult teams, B-league teams or each other.  Some teams will choose to play, others will not.
  • WDIA Northwest Championship will be played at Boise State University on Apr.16/17.
  • The adult teams will play exhibition matches against (willing) collegiate teams in March, and will finish out their schedule against each other mid-April through early June.
  • Victoria Womens Lacrosse adult team has elected to join the NWWLA and play adult teams and exhibition matches against (willing) collegiate teams.  We hope to meet each other halfway, playing in Vancouver, Blaine or Bellingham.
  • The NW Umpire Board and National Umpire Board are both mandating one new umpire candidate per team for the 2005 season.  The NWWLA requested an exemption for first year start-up teams (CWU & Univ of Portland).
  • NWWLA officers for 2005:
