2002 Rookie Ref Promotion Program for
Spring Season
You know you love the game of lacrosse, and now you can
give back to the game, as well as have a good time on the lacrosse field!
With 28 boy's teams in Washington, there is an incredible demand for
referees. Sometimes all it takes to get some guys to become a ref are the
right incentives. The Washington high school lacrosse league is making it
easy for you to become a real, honest to goodness man of the striped cloth!
We are introducing the Ref Dev Six Pack. To qualify for
this program, you need to sign up for the training class, and complete six
games over the season, which is 9 March through 6 June 2002. Rookie refs
are assigned to games with an experienced ref, and training is provided.
The premium package for rookie refs includes, but is not
limited to:
 | The great feeling you get from giving back to a great
game. |
 | $300.00 for six games, including the Jamboree day
March 9. |
 | One ref shirt, one whistle, and two flags. You will
have to provide your own black hat and white shorts. |
 | A 2002 rule book. I know, most of you guys have
never seen one of these! |
 | One bottle of Motrin and one tube of Ben Gay (Eddie
Travers Travel Kit). |
 | One free pass to the Experience Music Project.
|
Every official, Rookie or not, gets a $100 bonus and two
free passes to EMP for completing twelve games.
