Lacrosse Comes to the Islands

After seven years of operation, the Spring Street School in Friday Harbor will finally field its first sports team this spring.  Lead by coaches Christian Folk and Jesse Berube the Spring Street Dragons hope to compete with the JV squads this spring, gaining the skills needed for league play in the 2003 season.

The school currently has 12 players on the roster, but 9 of the 12 are freshman the rest are sophomores.  With such a young group the team is looking toward the future with some exciting growth opportunities for the sport on the island.
