All-American Brian Johnson Returns From 2 Week Lacrosse Tour In Japan

Brian Johnson, Tahoma Class of '02 and Vandal Alumni, recently returned home from a two week lacrosse tour of Japan as part of "Team California", a select team of California college lacrosse players.  They played local men's lacrosse teams from Japan as well as national teams from Australia, Korea, Hong Kong, and the United States.  In tournament play, they finished second, losing only to Team USA.  Brian was one of the leading scorers on his team and was selected by the players as a captain.  Brian just finished his junior year at Sonoma State University where he was elected captain and led his team in scoring.  His accomplishments were recognized nationally by his All-America selection at the end of the season.  Sonoma finished the season in the national championship game, losing by one goal to UC - Santa Barbara.  In addition to playing football and basketball while at Tahoma, Brian played four years with the Maple Valley Lacrosse Club.  He led that team in scoring his junior and seniors years, was elected captain of the team his senior year, and was named to the all-state team his junior and senior season.  Brian is the son of Craig and Vonnie Johnson of Maple Valley.  Congrats on the continued success, Brian!
