The Huskies soundly defeated Whitman yesterday 15-6 under 7-point smoker from Eli Sonkin. The University of Oregon Men’s Lacrosse team won their first road game of the 2005 season, beating Gonzaga 13-4. After falling to #14 Simon Fraser last weekend, I guess the Ducks fired it up for a win.  Next Wednesday through Sunday is the Husky Lacrosse Indoor Tournament with games involving #16 Simon Fraser, #23 Washington, #24 Chapman, Oregon State and Rhode Island. There will also be Oregon vs. Washington State Champs bragging rights high school game on Saturday.
 

In 'B' Division, even more Northwest representation with the likes of Pacific Lutheran University at No. 8, nipping at their heels No. 9, University of Puget Sound three points behind.  Though Western Washington checks in at No. 17 followed by Linfield college at No. 19.  Montana State makes the list at No. 23 for the 'B' Division. Utah Valley State from Orem, Utah is at No. 5 in the Division B Top 25 poll. The Wolverines travel to Boise, Idaho this weekend to take on No. 8 Pacific Lutheran and No. 9 Puget Sound in key neutral site contests.  This will be an important factor in the hot divisional competition between UPS and the Lutes.
