OLD AGE AND TREACHERY FOIL VIKINGS IN O.T.
BELLINGHAM, November 1, 1997: It is a fact that Western has raised the standards for admittance. This did not deter their Alumni team from pulling one over Saturday, November 1. After being down by one at the half, the elders tied the score at the end of regulation. While foul play was suspected, Western fell in overtime. The Mighty Vikes made three futile attempts to save their pride in Boat-Races. All failures resulted in the youngsters serving refills. Academics may have softened them but they remain consumate hosts.
