Over 500 lacrosse fans attended the second annual LaxFest event held at Marymoor Park in Redmond Washington. The day saw some great lacrosse in the customary VERY relaxed environment. The games of the day included:

WA Vail Team vs. WA Young Alums
WA B All-State Team vs. Vancouver
WA Vail Team vs. Vancouver
Young Alum vs. PNLA B All-Stars
PNLA East vs. West Game
Boys All-Star Game 6-7th grade
Boys All-Star Game 8th grade
Girls HS vs Young Alums
Women's Club All-Stars

Some write ups of the day:

- PNLA East Natives spanked the West 13-5. PNLA Men's Club Game: "East vs West" - The Trash Talking continues regarding who is supreme, East Coast Schooled Players or the West Coast Standouts? Well to settle the score a team of PNLA A men's club players who played their HS Ball on the East Coast will squared off vs a team of West Coast HS Alums. Captains for the respected squads are: Matt Sauri (East) and Marc Bissell (West) and Dave Vannoy.

Young Alums vs. PNLA Veterans: Many WA HS alums are playing in great college programs and will be home from school for LaxFest. Former HS All-American Todd Thorpe (Curtis '98) lead a team of Young Guns vs a Veteran Squad of PNLA men's club players coached by Mark Brick, Senior Statesmen of the PNLA League. Recap from Mark Brick: This was a fun game that pitted experience vs youth. Our guys were anxious to show the "youngins" that not only could we still play but that we have some great talent in the B league. Anchored by a stellar defense, we were able to take away their fast break/transitional game and forced them to play at our pace. Hats off to the Oregon players who traveled from Portland and Eugene to represent their teams. Aaron Swain, Huron, and Chris Bergin, College Inn, were excellent on faceoffs, Drew Wright was a wall in the goal, and our middies were fantastic on both offense and defense. The Young Alums made a real game of things, tying the score in the 3rd, but we were able to pull away in the 4th. We're thankful these guys played a game earlier in the day! Bert Geis, Tentawon, was named team MVP as he was solid on defense and led in scoring with 4 goals. Thanks for all those players who played their hearts out and to the Young Alums for giving us a good, clean game.
