Overlake

Overlake High School

Coaches:
Marc Bissell Head Coach (1st year)
Chad Waite Ass't Coach (2nd year)

Team Bio:

The Owls are faced with the challenge of having lost 11 graduating seniors from last year's team. Of the 22 roster players for 1999, 7 are freshmen and 10 are sophomore. Led by Captain Bogdan Albu, the Owls are going to prove that rebuilding years really don't exist. Second year starter Ryan Hashagen in the goal will lead a defense anchored by junior and returning starter Matt McMurrer, soph John Hart and newcomers sophomore Jeff Lynch and freshman Reed Walton. The midfield led by returning players: senior Jim Crichton, junior Joe Giaudrone and sophomores Will Nelson and Gavin Gaudette will be augumented by newcomers freshmen Will Haas, Adam Nordin, Shaun Smith and Ben Cohen. The attack is lead by Captain Albu, an All Washington player, along with returning players junior Sean Archdeacon and sophomores CP Waite and Luke Boswell. The Owls are building a strong core of young players.

Fun Facts:

We have played only three home games on our home field in the past two years due to poor drainage. So playing away is not a disadvantage for this road tested program. We will be going to the San Diego Tournament this year again
