• 1999 Outlook:

The Curtis Vikings graduated 12 seniors last spring and are now running lean and mean.  This may be a rebuilding year, but you can’t count these Vikings out.
Keith Cournoyer returns as a senior, starting at attack.  He is flanked by fellow senior Daren Scadlock and young upstart sophomore Todd “Cobra” Johnson.
The defense is lead by returning starter Ryan McCluskey who is working with former WSU MVP goalie Jeff “tuth” Toth to build a solid defensive front.  Jeff is working with new comers Steve Collins and Jeff Pittman who are new to the game but learning fast.  Curtis has two young goalies, Jason Wang who makes the switch from middie last year and back up goalie Chris Duesterbeck.
The Curtis middies are working hard to make up for lack of experience and are going to surprise a few people this year.  McAvoy Shipp gave up his long stick and a starting spot on defense to play middie.  He is flanked by returning starter Ben Hudson and the strong silent John Park.  Although not great in numbers, this years middies are playing with a lot of heart and energy, thanks to the efforts of Jamie Gregorson, 1994 MVP at Curtis and USMC standout.
Anyone who is interested in turning out can contact one of the coaches listed below or swing by practice any afternoon at University Place Primary, 27^th and Grandview.
