• Coaches: 

  Mercer Island High School, 2001 State Champions, is looking for a Head Coach and assistant coaches. Mercer Island is a very well-established program with a strong Middle School feeder program. Although informal, MI also has a JV program which has played 6-9 games per season. The position is paid. Contact: Mark Larson at [email protected]

   

• 2001 Outlook: The Islanders graduated only three seniors from last year's squad - experience will be a factor in 2001 as Mercer Island looks to improve on their semifinal appearance in 2000 (Loss to Lakeside). Seniors Geoff Thilo and Dave Biehn have been selected as captains for the 2001season. With their leadership, the team has done a tremendous amount of work in the off-season to improve their overall skill. Mercer Island will be looking forward to a successful regular season, their third consecutive playoff appearance in the 'A' bracket and their first trip to the finals.

• Directions to Fields

  Eastbound on I-90: Exit at Island Crest Way, continue south on Island Crest Way. Go left at light at 40th. Go right at stop sign at 86th. Go left at stop sign at 42nd. You will see stadium on left.

  Westbound on I-90: Exit at East Mercer Way. Go left at end of exit, then take right at end of highway overpass onto SE 36th/Gallagher Hill Road. At top of hill go left onto 40th. Take right on 92nd, go right on 42nd. You will see stadium on your right.
