Week Nine

Week in Review:

We told you last week to beware...it was very near...in fact long overdue.

After an 0-23 stretch over the previous two years and several hard luck losses, the Bellevue Wolverines defeated Nathan Hale 7-4.  Congratulations to a tough young squad for continuing to battle and earning a well deserved victory.  Unfortunately details of the game were unavailable at the time.  Tune in next week for more!

Other news from league includes a bit of a mystery involving Overlake forfeiting two games this week.  Forfeits against Bainbridge and Mercer Island keep Overlake in a log jam for 4th place as they now have 6 losses.  The forfeit win for Mercer Island along with their defeat of Maple Valley helps them keep pace in the race for 2nd place.  Bainbridge remains undefeated at 11-0 atop the A Division.

After a four game losing streak, Maple Valley finally got back on track with a win over Bellevue before falling to Mercer.  Eastside also split on the week defeating Nathan Hale and falling to Lakeside.  Eastside, Maple Valley and Overlake still sit in a muddled mess for 4th place, but the 3 teams play each other at least once each over the final two weeks, so much is to be decided.

The Panther Lacrosse club continued their magical run in their inaugural season as they wrapped up the city league title with a big win over Franklin.  Port Angeles also remained undefeated with an 11-7 triumph over Bainbridge B.
