| 5/21 | "A" Championship: Bainbridge A over Lakeside | Bainbridge A Recap: Baibridge took its 6th straight State Championship on a perfect night and an flawless combination of offense and defense defeating Lakeside by eight goals. The defense set the tone as Lance Irvin, replacing Chris Brase, took care of Lakeside's best attackman, holding him to one goal. Ben Blakley and Brady Harrington also contributed to the defensive set, while Mike Penn had the game of his life in goal stopping countless shots throughout the game. On offense, the star of the game, Peter Vander Hoek, took advantage of Lakeside's defensive holes scoring a career high seven goals! Lakeside couldn't match up, as they tried to shut off certain players allowing the junior attackman to show them what they will have to face next year. The win capped a perfect season: 14-0! | Bainbridge A: Vander Hoek 7, Schwager 2, Kephart 1, Smith 1, Carner 1, Johnson 1, |
| 5/21 | "B" Championship: Maple Valley 9 - Nathan Hale 5 | Maple Valley Recap: MV finished its inaugural season with a hard fought 9-5 win over a very talented Nathan Hale team to win the B Division State Champpionship. Hale came out fast and furious with two early goals by Luther and Heller. MV settled down and closed the quarter with goals by Angelo Albonico and Andy Scanlon. The second quarter proved to be Hale's undoing as open net goals by Josh Staudt and freshman attackman Brian Johnson plus goals by Aaron Alldredge and Kevin Komisarz gave MV a 6-2 lead at half. Hale made one final push in the third quarter with goals by Haines and Morris, but MV weathered the storm and came back with three more goals in the second half, another by Komisarz, another by Albonico, and a final goal by co-captain Brandon Bennett who finished with 1 goal and 2 assists. Danny Seger's work at face-off proved critical as he won all 6 and MV won 11 of 17 opportunities. While Hale's Hill finished his great career with another solid game in goal, MV's Nate Holstein had his best game of the year in making 16 saves, several from point blank range. MV's defense, led by Tyler Johnson, DJ Lewis, and Jon Clark, did a great job of containing Hale's attack and knocking down several fast break passes. Thank you Hale for a great game and true sportsmanship. And thank you MV Vandals for all your hard work and enthusiasm. Nathan Hale Recap: Sometimes you just get beat! There's no shame in that. Congratulations are in order for Nathan Hale's three graduating seniors, Ryan Hill (All-League Goalie), Tad Schuldt (Vail All-Star - Defense), and Zach Luther, Attack. These three exemplify all that is good with high school lacrosse. Ryan not only is excellent on the field, but is a leader and always shows good sportsmanship. In the four years Tad has played at Nathan Hale he has never let diabetes prevent him from participating and achieving. Not once did I hear one excuse from Tad. Zach contributed on the field and over achieved in the classroom. He participated in running start and will begin at the University of Washington next year as a college Junior! The Nathan Hale lacrosse club is proud of these three men and wish them well. | Maple Valley: Albonico 2, Komisarz 2, Scanlon 1, Bennett 1, Alldredge 1, Staudt 1, Johnson 1, Nathan Hale: Morris 2, Heller 1, Haines 1, Luther 1, |

| 5/19 | Semi's: Nathan Hale 9 - Kitsap 6 | Nathan Hale Recap: The return of Goalkeeper Ryan Hill helped Nathan Hale to avenge last week's five goal loss to Kitsap and advance to the league championship game. Hill recorded twenty saves in the Raider's 9-6 victory. This was the best defensive effort of the season with Ben Borkowski, John Hanna, Tad Schuldt, David O'Hern and Doa Benitez shutting down the high powered Kitsap attack. Midfielder Andy Denzel dominated the face offs. Eric Weitz and Evan Snyder had two goal games while Ben Morris contributed two goals coming off the bench. Kitsap Recap: An unfortunate ending to a miracle season for a team that would have folded this year. Up 4-2 at halftime, you have to chalk this one up to a complete lack of playoff experience. Nathan Hale had the depth, size, athletic ability, and tradition, compared to a Kitsap Team which started 6 or 7 underclassmen and had 3 times as many 1st-year players as seniors. Watch out next year!! Final stats: Joe Bates (39g 10a), Zach Webb (30g 15a), Bobby Wertheim (21g 21a), Mason Walters (23g 9a), Jack Fitzgerald (11g 7a), Josh Holderbach (12g 2a), Jeff Mcgaffey (176sv 91g). | Nathan Hale: Weitz 2, Snyder 2, Morris 2, Haines 1, Heller 1, Denzel 1, Kitsap: Bates 3, Wertheim 2, Walters 1, |

| 5/19 | Semi's: Maple Valley 6 - Port Angeles 5 | Maple Valley Recap: Maple Valley defeated Pt. Angeles in its home semi-final playoff game, 6-5. PA took a 2-0 lead into the second quarter, but MV fought back and led 3-2 at half and 6-4 going into the 4th quarter. It was a great game for all 48 minutes. Ground balls and face-offs made the difference with MV winning the ground ball battle with 73 and winning 9 of 15 faceoffs. MV's DJ Lewis led the defense with 4 ground balls and 4 takeaways. MV scoring was led by Josh Staudt (3), Brandon Bennett (1g, 2a), Andy Scanlon (1g, 1a), Angelo Albonico (1a), and Kevin Komisarz (1g). Thanks for two great games PA, see you next year. | Maple Valley: Staudt 3, Scanlon 1, Bennett 1, Komisarz 1, |
| 5/15 | Bainbridge A 15 - Lakeside 7 | Bainbridge A Recap: The first quarter was intense; Lakeside didn't let Bainbridge get away from them until the third quarter when BI put the game away for good. | 5/13 | Curtis 7 - Bainbridge A 21 | Curtis Recap: There is a reason for three refs in a lacrosse game. One guy cannot police the whole field. It took awhile for Curtis to get on the board, but they did. Down 11-2 at half what can you do? Curtis had fun in the second half because lacrosse is a game and it is meant to be fun. Thank you to our fans who travelled long distances this year and got soaking wet. We can hear you cheering. | Curtis: Cournoyer 3, Strand 4, Bainbridge A: Kephart 10, Vander Hoek 6, Johnson 2, Walik 1, Eliason 1, Pratt 1, |

| 5/12 | Maple Valley 7 - Franklin 2 | Maple Valley Recap: MV finished their regular season with a tough road win over Franklin, 7-2. Franklin scored first and the game was tied 1-1 at half. As in their first game, Franklin's faceoff men proved formidable and their defensive play stymied MV for much of the game. MV's three middie lines finally started wearing down Frankin's two lines in the second half and some shots started going in. MV scoring was spread among 7 players with assists by Issac Pulkkinen and Aaron Alldredge and goals by Adam Boender, Josh Staudt, Andy Scanlon, Pulkkinen, Angelo Albonico (2g), and Danny Seger. Goalie Nate Holstein had 11 saves on 13 shots on goal. MV finishes the regular season 9-1, not bad for a team with one experienced player on March 1st. Hard work pays off. | Maple Valley: Boender 1, Staudt 1, Scanlon 1, Pulkkinen 1, Albonico 2, Seger 1, |
| 5/11 | Nathan Hale 12 - Kitsap 17 | Nathan Hale Recap: With starting All-State goalie Ryan Hill out with the flu, Sophomore Ryan Garrett was thrown between the pipes for this playoff preview. Garrett stepped up and played well, but did not get any defensive help in the first quarter as Kitsap raced to an 8-1 lead. Jeff Haines had a 5 point game in helping to engineer the comeback. Zac Luther is back to form after recovering from a severe early season ankle injury. Lang Reynolds recorded his first two goal game. | Nathan Hale: Luther 2, Haines 2, Denzel 1, Hilfman 1, Reynolds 2, Snyder 2, Weitz 2, Kitsap: Bates 6, Walters 3, Wertheim 2, Webb 2, Holderbach 2, Fitzgerald 1, Brown 1, |
| 5/11 | Curtis 15 - Bellevue 17 | Curtis Recap: Great game Bellevue. Curtis waited until the fourth quarter to figure out that you have to have the ball to shoot the ball to score. Out shooting Bellevue 18-2 in the fourth got us very close. The Curtis attack finally became a factor in the game scoring 6 goals and breaking up a few clears. But in the end, Young to Tagg with 29 seconds left in the game put an end to a very exciting fourth quarter. Bellevue Recap: Great game. Bellevue barely hung on. | Curtis: Cournoyer 3, Hudson 3, Shipp 1, Strand 5, Park 3, Bellevue: Person 6, Tagg 6, Leahy 1, Gordon 1, Young 1, Heilman 1, Beck 1, |

| 5/7 | Overlake 13 - Bellevue 11 | Overlake Recap: A great game to watch: lots of big hits and lots of great goals. Bellevue kept it close by coming back over and over, but 8 goals from Overlake's first midfield and a couple of key saves late in the game by Luke Boswell gave Overlake their second victory of the season. Thanks Bellevue for a great game. See you next year. | Overlake: Nelson 4, Haas 3, Albu 2, Waite 2, Giaudrone 1, Baxter 1, Bellevue: Person 5, Tagg 3, Beck 1, Heilman 2, |

| 5/6 | Maple Valley 8 - Port Angeles 4 | Maple Valley Recap: Another hard fought game in the rain, but MV managed another home win defeating PA 8-4. Goalie Nate Holstein kept MV in the game early on with 12 saves. After trailing 2-1 at half the offense finally settled down, outscoring PA 7-2. | 5/1 | Bainbridge A 14 - Eastside 4 | Bainbridge A Recap: Bainbridge came out ready to give up the ball. Great cuts and ball movement allowed the attack and middies to throw countless great feeds through the middle leading to fourteen goals...almost every shot was assisted. Brett Schwager came out firing with five goals in limited playing time and Peter Vander Hoek had four to five assists, depending on who you talk to. The Eastside goalie had a great game, though, stopping fifteen to twenty shots, keeping them in the game for some time. | Bainbridge A: Schwager 5, Kephart 3, Kelly 2, Johnson 2, Carner 1, Vander Hoek 1, Eastside: Bayly 2, Neuschwander 1, Kaminski 1, Dorwart 1, |

A tightly called match with both teams spending a lot of time in the box. Bainbridge's scoring and assists were spread evenly amongst the offense. Continuing to lit up the goal, John Moore had 3 goals, 1 assist and Jacob Hayashi 2 goals. Aaron Bludon as well as Micheal Elliot made assists for goals. A well deserved and earned victory for BIB. | Bainbridge B: Steffan 1, Steinecker 1, Hayashi 2, Moore 3, Lamoureux 1, Nelson 1, |
| 4/28 | Nathan Hale 10 - Mercer Island JV 9 | Nathan Hale Recap: An overtime victory for Nathan Hale. | 4/28 | Curtis 9 - Overlake 12 | Curtis Recap: Great day for a game! Something weird about that lawn at Overlake. Ground balls were impossible for Curtis to pick up. First quarter we got 6, Overlake picked up 15. 8 shots in the first half for Curtis, 19 for Overlake. Down 6-1 at half, Curtis rallied in the third and fourth, but every time we got close, Bogdan Albu scored a goal. Another 5 minutes would have been nice. | 4/27 | Bainbridge A 19 - Bellevue 2 | Bainbridge A Recap: Dark clouds descended upon the Bellevue High School stadium as we stepped off the bus from BI. We were lucky that it didn't rain because wet turf blows. As we suspected, Bellevue had lined their field with sand (?). The foreboding tempest, seen to the north as we crossed the I-90 bridge, never quite made it to the field luckily, sparing both teams from an impending slippery mess. Bellevue came out much stronger than our last meeting, doubling their scoring output to 2 goals. The Bainbridge offense held on to the lead, though, scoring methodically as our goalie created an award winning sandcastle on defense... | Bainbridge A: Kephart 4, Vander Hoek 3, Kelly 3, Carner 3, Savage 2, Bonof 1, Ragin 1, Samuels 1, Johnson 1, |
| 4/27 | Maple Valley 11 - Kitsap 6 | Maple Valley Recap: Maple Valley traveled

| 4/26 | Curtis 15 - Overlake 11 | Curtis Recap: It took the entire first half for Curtis to recover from spring break. If you don't show up at practice, it shows. Overlake controlled the first half by scooping up ground balls and backing up shots. Curtis played almost an entire quarter man down. Down by one goal at half Curtis came out the second half and got a couple of quick goals to set the tone for the second half. Overlake was never out of this game and the rematch at their house on Wednesday looks to be another great game. | Curtis: Strand 6, Cournoyer 3, Park 2, Shipp 3, Hudson 1, Overlake: Waite 3, Giaudrone 3, Albu 2, Nelson 2, Haas 1, |
| 4/23 | Bainbridge B 4 - Nathan Hale 5 | Bainbridge B Recap: Bainbrigde B team turned the B.I. Highschool soccer field into lacrosse field this beaautiful Friday evening. Mercer held a one goal advantage the entire game until a quick 3 goal run in the fourth put Kitsap up by two and sent the crowd wild. Jack Fitzgerald, the player of the game with 5 points, scored the go-ahead and Bobby Wertheimsealed the victory. The stellar goalie play of Jeff McGaffey (five 4th quarter saves) and the undying desire to win stopped Mercer's comeback short as the last minute ran out. Other than that, they shot, they scored, we shot and missed the net. Kitsap Recap: For the record: Yes, the game was disgustingly filled with penalties and trashtalk.
