Bainbridge A View: Thank you Mercer for a hard fought battle, THAT YOU NEVER GAVE UP. Nice work Mungo with 4 goals. Bainbridge worked the ball around very well and was aggressive on "D". #53 stepped up tonight with 4 goals followed by #35 with 3. On to Curtis for the big dance

Burien 7 - Bainbridge B 11

Burien View: The game was well played by Bainbridge who beat our middies in the box and dished early and often. We found some twine too but had a hard time keeping them from taking the open shots.

Burien: Brower 5, Schmieter 1, Thorlacius 1, , , , , , ,

5/8

Nathan Hale 11 - Franklin 2

Nathan Hale View: Hale goes out victorious as the Raiders end their regular season with an 11-2 victory over Franklin. The Raiders finish 8-4 and in third place in the B division. Jeff Haines recorded his first career hat trick and Ryan Hill tallied the first point ever by a Hale goal, assisting on a goal by Dar Gacayan. Gacayan finishes the year with a record 37 regular season goals. He will be sorely missed next season.

5/8

Port Angeles 10 - Kitsap 3

Port Angeles View: Last game of the Season. We entered the game without focus, and Kitsap seized upon our weakness, they played with incredible heart and they had fun. They kept on us all game, tying with us 3 to 3 at half time. It wasen't untill the third quarter that we managed to wear them down enough to score some goals, and win the game. Hat's off to Kitsap, who played a better game then we did.

Port Angeles: Morgan 4, Decker 3, Kendall 2, Morgan 1, , , , , ,

5/8

Bainbridge A 10 - Lakeside 7

Bainbridge A View: Another Great Bainbridge/Lakeside Match-up. At the end of each of the 1st 3 periods, it was tied 2-2, 3-3 and 4-4. Aggressive defensive play and quality offensive movement was the standard with a good flow to the game and only 9 total penalties. The Spartans went to work at the whistle of the 4th quarter, scoring 4 unanswered goals in the first 5 minutes of the period. Lakeside finally responded with 3 goals in the remaining minutes, but Bainbridge countered those with 2 more, including a coast to coast "D" man score by the now infamous "Fatty" #34, Ruddick. Outstanding player of the night has to go to Junior Spartan Attackman, #25 Kephart who posted half of the Spartan offense with a personal best of 5 goals. A fun game to watch and a wonderful home game end to regular season play for Bainbridge. Thanks Lakeside and Coach Hawley!

5/6

Bainbridge B 7 - Bellevue 8

Bainbridge B View: Bainbridge opened up the game with a couple goals and maintained the lead until the last quarter. It took us a quarter to get used to the astro turf surface which we hadn't played on yet all season. Great game played by all. We had improved as a team a lot since our last meeting, and Bellevue was a bit humbled. See you hopefully in the Finals.

Bainbridge B: Fairbank 2, Walik 2, Palmer 2, Eliason 1, , , , , ,

5/6

Nathan Hale 7 - Burien 4

Nathan Hale View: Nathan Hale, with mouths shut proved that "Talk don't cook rice!" as they revenged their early season loss to Burien with a 7-4 victory at Jane Addams field. Lead by Dar Gacayan with four goals, Hale overcame three quarters of very sloppy play to pull out the win in the fourth quarter. Ryan Hill kept the Raider's in the game as he and the defense shut out Burien in the fourth quarter. The victory insured Hale a playoff spot this Tuesday.

Nathan Hale: gacayan 4, snyder 1, denzel 1, collins 1, , , , , ,

5/6

Burien 4 - Nathan Hale 7

Burien View: Many goals scored in unsettled situations. Burien made mistakes that were capitalized on on defensive half.

Bainbridge A 13 - Mercer Island 6

Bainbridge A View: Mercer and Bainbridge clashed on Bainbridge for the second round of the Battle of the Islands. Bainbridge came out in a hurry and scored 4 goals in a hurry. Mercer came back with 3 quick ones and turned the momentum in their favor. But the Bainbridge defense buckled down, led by Chris Ruddick, to allow only 3 more goals for the game. Oustanding midfield play from Mike O'Connor who controlled the faceoffs and a strong game from both Kyler Spivey and Micah Paulsen on attack contributed to the win. Bainbridge looks forward to Fridays meeting with Lakeside. Mercer Island View: Good game Bainbridge!

Curtis 5 - Eastside 12

Curtis View: eastside flat out schooled curtis. jordan bayly was the man. eastside keyed on thorpe, denying him the ball, collapsing on defense and going after him physically. curtis did not score until very late in the third quarter, down 10 to 0. if we could have played a 5th quarter, curtis might have pulled this one out. the game was a heck of a wake up call for the boys from u.p. thank you eastside.

5/2

Nathan Hale 7 - Bellevue 13

Nathan Hale View: On a great Saturday night under the lights of Bellevue Stadium, the Nathan Hale Raiders lost a hard fought battle to Bellevue 13-7. Bellevue's aggressive play and ball handling were the diffence in the game. Hale played hard and had a chance for victory well into the fourth quarter, but could not handle the ball cleanly. Gacayan had a natural hat trick for Hale. Ryan Garrett scored his first career goal on a nice feed from Andy Denzel.

Bainbridge A 16 - Overlake 4

Bainbridge A View: Overlake came out strong in hopes of a win to help in their playoff quest, moving quickly to a 2-0 lead. Bainbridge was caught on their heels, momentarily. The Johnson brothers evened the score and the roll began. Good ball movement and assists on most goals was the name of the game for the Spartans. #53, Middleton lead with 4 assists and #32, Schwager lead with 4 goals.

Nathan Hale 5 - Lakeside 7

Nathan Hale View: In keeping the neighborhood rivalry alive, Nathan Hale lost to Lakeside 7-5 in a non league contest last Thursday. In a very well played game, Lakeside was just too much for Hale to handle.

Nathan Hale: Snyder 2, Collins 2, Gacayan 1

4/30

Bainbridge A 9 - Curtis 5

Bainbridge A View: The Spartans went to Curtis with a purpose and prevailed. Bainbridge Jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Curtis closed the gap to 7-5 in the 4th with a flurry and renewed vigor, but the Spartans contained them and added 2 more goals before the final whistle. Bainbridge controlled the ball well with great passing and patience before working inside to the open cutter. Face-offs were an advantage to the Spartans by 60 %. Defensively this was a hard hitting game played with great intensity by both sides. Bainbridge capitalized on the settled play and kept most of the Curtis shooting outside, while Curtis produced better on the unsettled side of the ball. Another "hats off" to the refs who let the game pace flow and did not call petty offenses. No doubt Curtis is still in the hunt, so we'll see them down the road. p.s. The no-name middies, fatty & fur ball were fired up by the I-net commentary, so thanks to whomever wrote it, I doubt it was Curtis.

Mercer Island 6 - Lakeside 10

Mercer Island View: Despite an amazing 30 save performance by Goalie Nick Pollock, (30/40,75%), our inability to take advantage of a soft Lakeside defense, and our failure to clear the ball eventually "nipped" us in the butt.

Bainbridge A 7 - Eastside 6

Bainbridge A View: Nice game by Eastside. Spartans ended Regulation in a tie and squeaked out a win with a sudden death overtime goal by #25,Kephart on a great feed from #53,Middleton. A well fought battle with excellent refing that allowed a good flow to the game.

Bainbridge A 11 - Eastside 3

Bainbridge A View: A good hard fought game was played by both teams. The flow was good with a a total of 9 penatlties, good reffing. The real highlight of the game was a one handed quick stick by #55 O'Connor, completely parallel to the ground about 2' high and at full stretch to reach the ball, surely a play of the week on the highlight films. We look forward to the rematch on Tuesday at Eastside.

4/25

Mercer Island 12 - Overlake 13

Mercer Island View: Mercer Island spent the entire second half climbing back into a game in which they were down by 4 points at halftime. Towards the end of the fourth quarter, we blew our hard-earned 1 goal lead and were tied at 12 through 2-1/2 overtimes until Ian Kelly scored for Overlake. It was another frustrating loss in which we blew too many oppurtunities to deserve to win. Overlake View: Overlake jumped out to a quick lead. MI caught up bu the third period and then went ahead late in the forth period for the first time in this well fought game. Overlake tied the game with a little more than a minute in the game on a great feed from Sherwood-Hill to Moodie. Goalie Hashagen played terrific in the three overtime periods as Overlake fought off two man-down situations. Kelly scored the winner in the third OT period. A terrifically fun game to watch.

4/24

Nathan Hale 8 - Port Angeles 7

Nathan Hale View: A double overtime thriller goes to Hale. After building a four goal lead, the Nathan Hale Raiders held on for the second half and two overtimes to beat Port Angeles last Friday on their home field 8-7. Andy Denzel scored the winning goal on a feed from Dar Gacuyan. Denzel pick up the pass at the top of the box, stepped in and fired a bounce shot, beating the screened goalie five hole. Hale jumped out to a 5-1 half time lead, but lost their intensity. Admittedly poor second half coaching hurt the Raiders until their coach came to and refocused the team. The game should never gone into overtime, but Port Angeles got credit for a mystery goal midway through the fourth period. Port Angeles took a shot from ten yards straight out, the ball hit high in the corner, rebounding fifteen yards up field, but the referee inexplicably called the shot a goal. Now how can a ball shot in the upper corner rebound fifteen yards, that net must have been strung very tightly!!!!! Other highlights include

Nathan Hale - gacayan 4, denzel 2, snyder 1, haines 1 - Port Angeles: Morgan 4, Morgan 2, Kendall 1

4/22

Burien 7 - Bellevue 9

Burien View: Burien took the lead in the first quarter only to find themselves down by one at half. A rash of penalties in the third opened the Bellevue flood gates to rally to a 5 point lead 9 to 4. Rallying behind some hard hitting Burien was able to regain 3 yet not enough to tie it up. A great game to watch.

4/22

Curtis 10 - Mercer Island 9

Curtis View: In the biggest game ever for Curtis Lax since joining the A division, the Vikings squeaked by the Islanders by the score of 10 to 9. Both teams came out a little rusty from Spring Break, but hungry. The Vikings fought back from a 9-7 deficit, finally taking the lead on a goal by Todd Thorpe, who took advantage of a defensive breakdown on a restart. Stepping up nicely were defenseman Ryan McClesky, and the second line middies of Mojo, Old Gold, and HiggyPuppy. This victory leaves the Viks confident and in the driver's seat for their first ever playoff birth in A League.

Port Angeles 4 - Burien 8

Port Angeles View: The game was fairly evenly matched throughout most of the game with the game tied in the third quarter but all hell broke loose in the fourth when we lost our composure and concequently lost the game

Port Angeles: Morgan 2, Morgan 1, Kendal 1, , , , , , ,

4/21

Burien 8 - Port Angeles 4

Burien View: A very close game well matched until the second half when Burien broke the tie with three unanswered goals off slow breaks. PA played tight D causing problems for Burien's adjusted offense.

4/21

Bainbridge A 17 - Vashon 3

Bainbridge A View: The score of the Vashon game does not truly represent the entire picture for this event. Vashon played a good solid game and was very impressive at the face-offs, winning 15 versus our 4. They played aggressively and showed good teamwork. Bainbridge was short 8 players and relied heavily on the starters left and the 2nd & 3rd lines. We even had to move a middie to attack. The guys stepped up and played a strong game on the offensive and defensive ends of the field. Leading scorers were Kelly with 5, Kephart & Penn with 3. Thanks Vashon for staying the course.

Bainbridge A: Kelly 5, Kephart 3, Penn 3, Middleton 2, Schwager 2, Harris 2, , , ,

4/21

Nathan Hale 10 - Kitsap 4

Nathan Hale View: Lots of credit to Kitsap for hanging in there this season. Keep up the good work. Some adult that has any concern about kids and lacrosse should be coaching that program. I find it hard to believe there is not a Bremerton area teacher or community member who could not take over the team. If you really care about kids and the game of lacrosse you should be coaching the Kitsap team. Hale was able to control the game from start to finish in handing Kitsap a 10 - 4 defeat. Lang Reynolds recorded his first career goal and Stefan Heller got on the score board again with an assist.

4/17

Bainbridge A 5 - Lakeside 6

Bainbridge A View: Nice game Lakeside, what more can we say. We came out flat and overconfident and did not shoot shot the ball. You, on the other hand, came out hungry, focused and determined. The only bright side to the Spartan game was our defense which played a 6 point game and caused the Lakeside scoring to be spread across 5 players. Limiting #27 to one goal and #20 to no goals is worthy of note. Again, congrats & We will be looking forward to the rematch!

Bainbridge A: Spivey 3, Paulsen 2 - Lakeside: Smith 2, Hosford 1, Fine 1, Allison 1, Lewis 1

4/16

Bainbridge B 13 - Kitsap 7

Port Angeles 12 - Kitsap 2

Port Angeles View: We were down 2 to 1 early in the game but settled down and rattled off 11 unanswered goals to win the game. Also the first long stick goal in Port Angeles lacrosse history was scored by lucky #7 who was playing a bit of long stick middie.

Mercer Island 14 - Vashon 9

Mercer Island View: Another game, another goalie. Our team was plagued on Friday by poorly planned and pre-mature Spring Break vacations, and our play was plagued by fatigue and "retardation". Today it was Adrian or "Uber", in the cage. He did pretty well for us, but if it weren't from a much need jumpstart from Captain Defensemen, Nick Beerman, our team might have let this one go. Vashon whipped us on face-offs and took advantage of our Freshmen goaltender by pumping shots from just about anywhere. Our attack accounted for 10 of our goals, highlighted by first ever goals from Freshman Jeff Thilo, and 6 more from Colin. Mungo [Pattison], of course, supplied the heart and the legs, accounting for the only goals from the midfield, and most of our Clearing. It will be refreshing to have a week off from school and to be at full strength, come next Monday.

Mercer Island: Lake 6, Pattison 2, DiMartino 2, Beerman 2, Thilo 2

4/9

Port Angeles 5 - Bellevue 10

Port Angeles View: We entered the game unfocused and unprepared because of inactivity durring our Spring break. Bellvue was on a roll scoring eight goal's in the first half, but we pulled it together in the second. Our defense tightened allowing only two goal's and are offense gained momentum scoring five goal's in the fourth quarter. We would like to thank Bellevue for allowing us to play on their great field, many of our player's are thanking you for thier delightful turf burn's.

Port Angeles: Morgan 4, Kendall 1 - Bellevue: Tagg 2, Helley 2, Formo 2, Person 1, Goldman 1, Leahy 1, Boetcher 1

4/9

Franklin 6 - Kitsap 5

Franklin View: Despite the close games that the Quakers have come close to winning, the Quakers finally held on to win their first ever win in franchise history. Thanks to Robert Ragutaro's five goals and great offensive ball movement and sweet deffense the Quakers finally got that monkey off ther back. And another shot out goes to our two goal tenders for there great save and beautiful dimes down the field. And now we know that, " hard work wins and it surely pays off at the end.

Bainbridge A View: Mercer's substitute goalie aside for the moment. Bainbridge played their best game of the season, which was evidenced at the midfield and their "D". The Spartan middies, lead by O'Connor & Diamond owned the face-offs & transition game at the midfield. Add to this, outstanding defense by Carner in the goal & Hunter & Brase at long stick, and Mercer's shooters were held to 1 goal thru 3 periods of play & a total of 6 shots on goal for the game. It was unfortunate that Mercer had to play without their starting keeper and credit should go to the fill-in who took 30+ shots on goal, however, Bainbridge was on fire defensively and at midfield as well. Spartan scoring was shared by 7 players lead by Johnson with 4 & O'Connor with 3. Assists & passing combinations on half of the goals were textbook, demonstrating unselfish team play & a quality game of Lax. We look forward to our rematch & hope both sides are at full strength to bring this same brand of Bainbridge lacrosse to the table once again. T

Nathan Hale 6 - Bainbridge B 5

Nathan Hale View: Some games you lose when you really should have won and some games you win when you really should have lost. For Nathan Hale, excaping with a 6-5 win over Bainbridge B was a case of the senario. Hale jumped to a 2 - 0 half time lead based soley on the stong goaltending of Ryan Hill. The rest of the team was on early Spring Break (including the coach who was battling the flu). Bainbridge B came right back in the second half, but was unable to put the tying goal past Hill. Eric Weitz got in the score book for the first time with an assist. Hale, after starting off 0-2, including a loss to Bainbridge B last month, has evened its record going into Spring Break at 3 - 3.

Nathan Hale 8 - Franklin 0

Nathan Hale View: In a historic first lacrosse meeting between Seattle School District teams, Nathan Hale knocked off Frankin 8-0. The game drew interest from many Hale and Franklin fans, Rainier Valley residents and the Seattle Times. Franklin played hard, but could not get one past the goaltending of Ryan Hill. Dar Gacayan put 5 past the Franklin goalie and Zac Luther recorded his first career hat trick. Tad Schuldt tossed his second assist from the defensive end and Ryan Garrett had his first assist. Jeff Haines tossed out two assist from the Attacking end. This game attracted the attention of the Seattle community and highlighted the need to get coaches and teams started at Roosevelt and Garfield. An inner city lacrosse program would be so benefitial to the growth of lacrosse in Washington State.

Curtis 16 - Vashon 7

Curtis View: Curtis completed their first go-round of the A devision with a decisive victory over a young, hungry Vashon side. Vashon sported strong goaltending, but were overwhelmed by early penalties and a strong Curtis third quarter. Backup goaltender Jason Wang was impressive in a fourth quarter that featured strong play by newcomers Cobra Johnson (2 game scoring streak!) and Ben Hudson. Other highlights included Thorpe's behind the back goal, and JB finally getting the monkey off his back. All in all a great game for all who played.

Mercer Island 15 - Eastside 5

Mercer Island View: Our offense controlled the ball for long periods at a time, driving and feeding with efficiency. Man-up offense converted on 6 of 7 oppurtunities, spreading the scoring around effectively for the first time this season. The defense was inspired by big hits from Scott Sirianni and good stick checks from captain Nick Beerman. Goalie Nick Pollock played an outstanding game, making saves with all parts of his body. Our midfielders finally got on the score sheet with good feeds from Rob Bailey and Adam Bridges, along with shooting from captain Jeff Pattison and Chad Arimura. The attack was lead by captain Colin Lake who had 6 goals, and freshman Dave Biehn with 2.

Curtis 22 - Overlake 9

Curtis View: The Curtis Vikings posted their second consecutive victory, and their first against Overlake ever. After a sloppy defensive beginning, we held Overlake to just one second half goal. Offensively we were dominant, featuring goals by defenseman Drew Voss and Cobra Johnson's first ever score. Despite being distracted by the girl's lax game being played the next field over, we played a very focused second half. On to victory blue and white!

Franklin 2 - Burien 3

Franklin View: Despite the heartbreaking loss, the Quakers played great defense and and offense and stayed in the game the whole way with Burien. Once again the Quakers stuck with there team goal and fought for every ground ball. And thanks too Ryan Ragutaro's two goals that kept the Quakers in the game. Burien View: Burien didn't come to play today. We played catch with the goalie and weren't interested in picking up the ball and passing to the open man. Injury and laziness kept us close. Franklin's getting loads better than preseason.

Franklin: Ragutaro 2 - Burien: Porzorski 2, Brower 1

Bellevue 10 - Nathan Hale 7

Nathan Hale View: Youth got the best of us once again. A slow start and some jitters allowed Bellevue to build a 5-1 lead going into half-time. If anything positive came out of this game it was Hale's unwillingness to give up. After three periods Hale trailed 7-5, before falling by the final score of 10-7.

Bainbridge A 14 - Overlake 7

Bainbridge A View: Overlake is back to full strength with attackman Kelly back in the line-up. #13 came out strong pounding the crease and scored before Bainbridge got on their feet. Bainbridge attackman Spivey answered with the first of his 4 goals and the game evened up for the 1st period. A tough Spartan midfield lead by Schwager with 4 goals and Penn with 2,pushed Bainbridge ahead for good. Overall, Bainbridge had 7 players on the scoreboard to keep Overlake from regaining the lead. The score doesn't do justice to how evenly the game was matched for a lot of the time. A clean game throughout with 8 penalties for BIA and 4 for OVR. A rematch later in the season will prove to be another test for the Bainbridge quest. Nice game Rich, Thanks

Bainbridge A: Spivey 4, Schwager 4, Penn 2, Middleton 1, Kephart 1, O'connor 1, Kelly 1

Burien 5 - Bellevue 8

Burien View: Belluvue's hard hitting and aggressive play was a key factor in this game as Burien had difficulties settling the ball. Erikson showed what is meant by true grit with over 40 saves. Game overshadowed however by unsportsmanlike and unrestrained fans and players of Bellvue. Cheap play brings the sport down. Bellevue View: Both teams came out tough, each started off with a goal. Bellevue pulled away into the third quarter, but Burien kept up closing within one goal. Late in the second half Bellevue pulled away to take the lead to 4 goals ending it with an 8-4 victory. Burien's golie was the key to keeping it close blocking a high percentage of shots.

Bellevue: Person 3, Tagg 3, Evans 2 - Burien: Thorlacious 4, Porzorski 1

Mercer Island 11 - Lakeside 5

Mercer Island View: Our Mercer Island team came out the strongest we have this year -- on both sides of the ball. Our defense did an especially good job of stepping up, dominating Lakeside's attack the whole game, and holding their entire team to only one goal for the second half. Offensively we moved the ball around and stayed composed against a defense who played very passively. We were able to take advantage of their mistakes and capitalize with feeding and shooting.

Nathan Hale 10 - Port Angeles 5

Nathan Hale View: A little home cooking did the trick to get the Raiders off the schnied. After opening the season with road losses, the Nathan Hale Raiders notched their first victory on rain soaked Jane Addams field. The 10-5 victory was a real confidence booster for the very young team. Of the 24 players on the roster, 20 are either freshman or sophmores. Hale started out very quickly to a 5 - 1 and held off Port Angeles' attempt at a comeback. A real key to the victory was in the loss to Bainbridge B the previous night. By the fourth quarter of that game, many of the rookies began to see the light and understand the level of intensity needed to play well and win. This fourth quarter momentum carried right over the the Port Angeles game with Hale scoring 5 unanswered goals in the first quarter.

Vashon 9 - Eastside 10

Vashon View: Eastside 10, Vashon 9 Overtime This was a game of two evenly matched teams in a battle to the finish. Eastside started off fast with 4 quick goals but then the Vashon goalie Joel Moorehead got fired up and Vashon rallied behind Kjell Risdall's 3 goals to take the lead at one point. Eastside had good ball movement through out the game and it eventually won it for them. Eastside did a good job keeping their sticks down so they were only man down 2 times compared to Vashon's 8 times. Vashon did dominate face-offs winning 15 of 21.

Curtis 3 - Bainbridge A 7

Curtis View: What a muddy game...Bainbridge A View: This El Nino "Mud Fest" was played on a soaked Bainbridge field. Ground balls ended up missing in action on a few occassions. Curtis came out strong with 2 quick goals to put the fear of defeat in the Spartan squad. After a weekened of sunny San Diego lacrosse, the Bainbridge Team was obviously left wallowing in an unfamiliar quagmire. Spartan Attackman Spivey finally got Bainbridge on the scoreboard with 2 goals and the team never looked back. It was a hard fought battle by both squads with a few too many flags and loose ball fouls breaking up the pace of the game. Curtis standout attackman Thorpe had 2 goals and kept the Bainbridge defense working overtime. The next meeting is sure to be another test of endurance, toughness and skill for both clubs. Great Game Curtis! Thanks

Franklin 3 - Port Angeles 5

Port Angeles View: We took the lead in the first thirty seconds of the game and never looked back. But due to "El Nino", which caused a three day long monsoon that drenched the field two day's before and durring the game, the scoring was realitivly low. Both team's had trouble with ground balls and the general play of both teams was at times quite sloppy on the water-logged field. Franklin showed that they will be a team to be reckoned with in the very near future. Franklin View: Although Port Angles took the game away from Franklin, the mighty Quakers didn't give up without a fight. The Quakers throughout the game stuck to there game plan and fought for every ground that Port Angles threw at them. It wasn't easy playing the Quakers especially when there motto is "ground ball wins," and even though they lost the game they didn't loose the war and will be looking forward to their rematch.

Kitsap 3 - Franklin 1

Kitsap View: Knowing Kitsap's record from last year and remembering the Jamboree, we had little confidence in beating Franklin. By the end of the third quarter, we had the lead with 3-1. We were all very surprised by how we were all playing as a unit, and working together to win. We were also grateful for Franklin playing such a great game. We appreciate their hospitality and overall sportsmanship.

Burien 6 - Nathan Hale 3

Burien View: Burien bounced back from a 1-0 deficit with three unanswered goals.Taking the ball to the cage, Thorlacious racked a hat trick and one assist and Porzorski ran the midfield. Great effort by Stokes on defense and kudos for Erikson in the cage, both were instrumental in the low score. Hale's Hill put up a brilliant defense along with #6, and 66 moving the ball well and often.

Burien: Thorlacious 3, Porzorski 2, Howard 1 - Nathan Hale: Denzel 1, Gacuyan 1, Luther 1

Bellevue 15 - Franklin 0

Bellevue View: Bellevue took control in the second quarter with a 7 goals to go up 9-0 at the half. Franklin played hard throughout. Person led the way for Bellevue with 4 goals and an assist. Kaiser, the second year goalie, posted his first shutout for Bellevue. Look for big things this year from the Franklin squad once they get a few games under their belt.

Burien View: Burien came from behind the entire game to tie it up with under five minutes to go to lose it in the last 40 seconds with a cannon from the restraining line. If Burien could keep from hitting PA's goalie, the outcome would have been different.

Curtis 12 - Mercer Island 5

Curtis View: An excellent beginning for the regular season. Both sides came out a little unprepared, and the game was marred by tons of penalties, leaving our side man-down the ENTIRE second quarter. Our defense came to play, and a goal by defender Macavoy Shipp just before the end of the first half swung the momentum our way for good. All in all, a good showing for a team that was missing an entire midfield line and racked up enough penalties for 2 games.

Bainbridge A 21 - Vashon 4

Bainbridge A View: The game score depicts a lopsided match, however, the Bainbridge scoring was spread across the entie team. Half of the goals were scored by the starters and the other half was scored by the 2nd & 3rd lines and defense. Vashon showed good poise and sportsmanship throughout the game. Penalties were 9 for Bainbridge and 4 for Vashon. Shots on goal for Bainbridge were 51, giving Vashon goalie, Moorehead, a workout for the night and kudos for staying the course.
