Strong Issaquah Second Half Gets 14-8 Win Over Eastside Catholic

A perfect evening for lacrosse in the Northwest saw an exciting game between the Issaquah Eagles and Eastside Catholic Crusaders. In a game that saw several lead changes, but Issaquah found that second half they have needed for a while and won 14-8. Eastside Catholic came into the game after a big win over next door neighbor Skyline last week. Issaquah on the other hand, was riding a four-game losing streak from a trip back East and Mercer Island last week. They regained form tonight and are looking renewed.

Disappointing Stealth Loss to Knighthawks 18-10 VIDEO

EVERETT- Rochester brought the April showers, pelting the Stealth 18-10 in front of a big crowd of 5,161. It was disappoint all over the floor on offense, defense and transition. The loss puts the first round of the playoffs on the Minnesota-Colorado Game next week. If the Swarm win, Washington will travel to Minnesota in two weeks for the first round of the conference playoffs. This season they have gone 1-2 against them.

MERCER ISLAND- In the match-up of the top four teams in state Mercer Island hosted Issaquah in part of the "I-90 Rivalry". The Islanders ended the toughest part of their season and Issaquah unfortunately extended a four game losing streak, stemming from New Jersey. There was a large crowd of fans that attended with an interesting, but somewhat disappointing game for both teams.
Washington Boys Make All-Conference For St. Andrews!

The Washington boys of St. Andrews's Presbyterian College Knights made an immediate impact this season. In the All Carolina Conference Team selection, three of St. Andrews four selections were players from Washington. Daniel Shields of Mercer Island (by way of Bayswater Lacrosse Club Perth, Australia) made First Team Attack, Sean Shewey of Redmond, First Team Defense and Lynnwood's Alex Tindall was a Third Team selection.
Knighthawks Fly With Stealth This Saturday

EVERETT- The Washington Stealth's (8-7) 2011 regular season ends the week, hosting the Eastern Conference's Rochester Knighthawks (8-6). In the past few week's Washington began to find their mental and physical harmony. Washington must win this weekend or Minnesota must lose for them to lock up the home field advantage in the first round of the conference play offs. Last year against the Knighthawks, Washington won 14-9 behind Rhys Duch's sock trick. Now the Stealth are in a familiar groove, Rhys Duch was just awarded the NLL Overall Player of the Week.
