MERCER ISLAND- No other high school lacrosse game in the state draws as much attention as the Battle of the Islands. Parents, fans and alums of both programs were joined by enthusiasts from around the state. “Wow.” It was on the mouths of every person in the stadium. The first quarter was a Blitzkrieg in every sense of the word, as the Islanders shot lights out. Mercer Island came up with first possession after an illegal procedure call. Colton Knebel scored the first goal of the Battle on a simple Islander 2:3 offense.
Issaquah Outlasts Bellevue 6-2

The no. 2 seed in the Northeast Conference was on the line as the Bellevue Wolverines came in looking to steal one from host- the Issaquah Eagles. Issaquah was back firing on all cylinders as their midseason problems seemed to have evaporated in their 8-6 win over Bainbridge Island last week. Bellevue was feeling good as well, returning a slew of injured players Tuesday night in a rout of the playoff-bound Skyline Spartans.
Stealth Faces Calgary In West Conference Final This Saturday

Everett, Wash. – The Washington Stealth is just two wins away from being the first team to repeat as National Lacrosse League Champion since 2003.It will be no easy task however, as the Stealth must first get past the top overall seed in the 2011 playoffs, the Calgary Roughnecks.The Western Division Final will take place Saturday, May 7 at 6:30pm at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta.

206, what’s going on? I hope everyone out there is enjoying the sport of lacrosse in some sort of way or fashion right now. Whether you’re an actual participant in a school sanctioned team, recreational, backyard, an avid HS fan, Men’s club fan (Jager), Stealth fan or enjoying what a great job ESPNU has been doing. May is certainly a great time for the Game.

Youth and Middle School Starz Tryouts - Sunday May 15th

The Starz youth and middle school tryouts are just around the corner. Originally planned for this Sunday (5/8) the tryouts have been pushed one week to ensure we don't disrupt the many well deserved Mothers Day plans that are taking place. Both G.E.L.L (Greater Eastside lacrosse) Starz and Seattle Starz programs will hold their tryouts on Sunday May 15th from 9am - 3pm. Come be a part of the largest army of Lacrosse club players in the Northwest!
Oregon State Defeats Washington 10-5 to Advance in PNCLL Playoffs

The visiting Oregon State Beavers won a convincing 10-5 playoff win at Washington on Saturday afternoon. They avenged an early season regular loss 11-9 against the Huskies With the victory, OSU advances to into the PNCLL semi-finals, where they will face the Oregon Ducks next weekend at Wilsonville H.S. south of Portland.
