Lacrosse TV Show To Air On College Sports Television

BALTIMORE – Behind Lacrosse, a 30-minute show about the lacrosse lifestyle, presented by Toyota, debuts this spring on College Sports Television (CSTV). The show premiered on Thursday, March 16 at 4:30 p.m. (EST) and will run 12 episodes throughout the spring.
"We are excited to offer a fresh look at the sport to long-time fans and players and at the same time introduce lacrosse to sports enthusiasts across the country," said Behind Lacrosse Director/Producer Michael Ivan Schwartz. "It’s amazing to be part of a production that will help expand, educate and inspire old and new lacrosse players and fans."

Submitted by Walax on Mon, 2006-03-06 16:46The Cardinal women's lacrosse team downed the No. 13 Vanderbilt Commodores on Sunday in a solid showing at Maloney Field. Six Cardinal players registered goals as Stanford overpowered the American Lacrosse Conference opponent, 15-9. Stanford improves to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the MPSF, while the Commodores fall to 1-3 on the season and 0-1 in the ALC.

We’re dubbing this year, the "Year of Lacrosse" and we’re excited to share our new site with you. Not only are we rolling out our new site, but we’re celebrating with a years worth of events aimed at celebrating you, our supporters and fellow lacrosse fans.
Walax.com has become the foremost lacrosse site in Washington but we couldn’t have done it without our faithful lacrosse fans that have supported us all these years. This is why the ‘Year of Lacrosse’ is for you. It’s our way of celebrating the people that celebrate the sport.
So sit back and check out the things we have in store for the greatest lacrosse fans in the West.
A brand new Site and Content
You’ll see from the new site that not much has remained except the logo. We’ve designed this with feedback from our readers and hope it’ll provide you with more lacrosse information than you know what to do with. Watch out for these new sections:
‘THE’ Weekly Beat
Others may imitate but there is only ONE Weekly Beat. Get it right here along with the addition of a Weekly Beat for the Youth, Girls and Men’s club. It’s been so successful over the last few years that we felt it was about time to expand the Weekly Beat family.
Game of the Week
Each week we’ll select a game to feature on our front page. An in-depth report of a HS and Youth game with photos and play by play analysis. Want to be that school or that game? – just email us at info@walax.com and your game photo could be up on the front page.
Player and Team of the Week
During the season watch out for the players and teams of the week. Did you have an awesome take away or shot that would leave even the Powells in awe? Well if one of our reporters is at your game then this very well could be you. Not only will you be on the front page for everyone to see but you’ll also get one of the new limited edition Walax.com beanies. At the end of the season the best of the best will get a sweet walax.com jacket. Believe me these are as rare as a polar bear in palm beach . College Coach Interviews
You’ll only see them here, in-depth interviews with coaches from the hottest D1 schools in the country. Hear what they think about West Coast lacrosse and the talent pool immerging from right here in Seattle. Also get tips on what they are looking for and how to put together you’re playing resume.
Local Talk
Hear what local coaches, players and officials have to say. We’ll have interviews with some of the coolest characters in town. Find out how it all began, what the future holds for these people and programs and generally sit around the camp fire sharing great lax stories.
Northwest Lax forum and Polls
Got something to say, we’ve got just the place for you! If you want to talk the talk or want advice on how to string your stick this is the place to go. We’ll also have regular polls on the front page for you to take part in.
Competitions and Giveaways
If it’s cool then we’ll be giving it away. From Walax apparel and new gear to league signups and camp places. Make sure to check the competition pages regularly as we’ll be putting up new competitions and giveaways regularly.
Travel and tournaments
We’ll be offering travel packages to great lacrosse events such as the Final Four, the World Cup and other lacrosse pilgrimages. Also we’ll be taking teams to tournaments around the world. What can be better than playing the game you love in some of the most amazing countries around the world.
Editorials
Regular editorials on local and national events. With the new features on Walax you’ll be able to login and give your opinion too!

Watch out for this shortly, we’ll have streaming video clips from local and national games for your viewing pleasure!
Of course we’ll have a lot of the information you are used to seeing, all of our resource pages will be there, along with all the HS/MS/College and Club information and a great new event calendar.
We will still have the Walax.com Summer Leagues, and all the local Summer Camps for your one-stop location for summer planning, Fall/Winter Indoor leagues, beginners Lacrosse clinics, and private lessons, but to celebrate our anniversary we’ll be rolling back the prices on your favorite Walax.com leagues!!!
And finally last but definitely not least. What is better than free? absolutely nothing!! Walax will be putting on a number of free clinics and events for coaches and players this year. Watch out for a list of dates and events along with some great surprise guests!
