Space Needle Shootout: November 30th - December 2nd, 2012

Back for the 9^th straight year, the Shootout provides high school, all-star and travel teams an opportunity to play high caliber lacrosse games against top talent from around the Northwest, and further. We will have 4 divisions of 16 teams for a total of 64 teams.  Four divisions will compete for the Space Needle Shootout title.

Divisions:

·         Youth (U12)

·         Middle School (U14)

·         High School (U16)

·         High School Elite (U18)

Number of Games: Each team will be guaranteed four games.  All games will be tournament style with round robin play for youth. Pool play will determine seating for all teams.  Each division will have between 12-16 teams, with no more than half of any division comprised Canadian or US teams.  Additionally,  only 1 team from each program may be entered per division.

Cost: Cost per team is $700 for U12/U14 and $725 for U16/U18 US. Prizes will be awarded to first place finishers in each age division.  Teams may be comprised of no more than 24 players, and no less than 15.

To ensure that the quality of the tournament continues we will no longer guarantee a place at the event purely on a previous year’s attendance but instead on the team’s placement from that previous year. This allows us to keep the tournament competition strong while also allowing new teams the chance to participate.   To indicate your interest in attending, contact Paula Wilkinson (Paula@walax.com).   A non-refundable deposit will confirm your spot with final payment due by Oct 31 2012.

Game times: The schedule will be released in November, but games will run from 4pm Friday through 6pm Sunday for Elite Championships.

Each game will be officiated by two referees and each championship game will be full-length. We will have vendors, competitions, raffles, and much more.
