Seatown Classic: Clinics, College Game and a Cruise

The day is almost here, Saturday October 13^th and for many of us it is truly an exciting day. Hopefully for all of the youngsters out there it is a sign of the times and the first of many such events. There is actually a Division I Men’s College lacrosse game happening in Seattle. If you are involved in the lacrosse scene, you have had this day circled on the calendar all summer. If you are new to lacrosse, let it be known that this is a big deal. The University of Denver will play host to the University of Maryland at Starfire Sports Campus in Tukwila this Saturday. This is going to be good!

I know for the teams involved it is a simple fall exhibition game but for the lacrosse community in the Seattle area it is an exciting step. And the best part is it is not just a 2 hour game but an all-day event. There will be a girl’s clinic in the morning hosted by Ann Elliott who is the Head Coach at the University of Colorado. There is a clinic for the local boys that will be hosted by coaches and players from both visiting teams. The boy’s coaches will be treated to a clinic put on by Coach Tierney and Coach Tillman. While Coach Elliott will also host a clinic for the local girl’s coaches. Too finish off the day, both teams will aboard an Argosy Cruise and you are invited to join them for dinner. It should be a blast. We look forward to seeing you at Starfire.
