Northshore holds off Mukilteo:
Led by the efforts of Taylor Wisman, Northshore would use a dominant second half with 6 different goal scorers in this DI match-up against north rival the Mukilteo Knights. Northshore never trailed in the contest and only led 6-3 at half before pulling away to secure the victory 12-7.
Both teams looked evenly matched in the first half as the game would both programs having great possessions and creating great scoring chances. Alex Sablan and Kyle Neal would both score their first goals for the Northshore program getting the first two goals of the game.
In the second quarter Mukilteo would get their chances as Northshore would spend at least 5 minutes in the penalty box with the Knights unable to take advantage. Both Goalies played great especially in the second half where there was an outburst of shots taken.
That trend would continue into the third quarter as both teams failed to connect on a number of chances including a stretch of time that saw the Knights have a 2 man advantage and not score. Mukilteo was led offensively by Colin Thompson (2G) Kevin McGowan (1g, 3A) and Riley Wanzer.
Taylor Wisman would steal the show with a 5 goal, 2assist night that would lift his team. Brother Foster would add 2goals and an assist to go with 10ground balls. Northshore carried a 5 goal lead into the final period and after each team traded goals 3 times, Mukilteo would fall short with again, the final score being 12-7.
