RECAPS
Week 2
On Saturday Crease Monkeys and Tentawon squared off. There was no review of the game entered so recapping is a little difficult. I can only guess that Tobin was great at the face off and the Monkey’s attach scored a lot. Make sure you are getting a recap of the game entered so that I can write a review.
Game 2 on Saturday put Multnomah and Coopers against each other. Through the first half, this was a low scoring game with the score tied at 2 at the end of the half.
The 3rd quarter belonged to Coppers. They took advantage of Nomah’s lack of numbers and ran off 4 unanswered goals. Nomah was able to make a game of it in the 4th scoring 2 more and missed on 2 other excellent opportunities.
This game was very costly for Multnomah, not only did they lose the game, they also lost one of staring attackmen Dave Sanford with a broken collar bone and their highly recruited defensemen Justin Cooley for the season with a broken hand which will require surgery.
Game 3 on Saturday paired Huron and Eugene down in the Duck City.
Despite Huron traveling with only 12 guys and Eugene having a very full squad, the might Huron was able to lay a whoopin’ on the Fighting Nutria 13 to 4.
We have seen Huron in past years jump out to great starts only to fall short in the playoffs, could this be the year they put it all together? I don’t know, but they are looking really good.
Sunday started off with a battle between Multnomah and Crease Monkeys. Nomah jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead with both goals from Dave Holler. However the tide quickly turned and the Monkey took Nomah out behind the woodshed and beat Nomah 16-4.
This was a tough weekend for Nomah going 0-2, 1-3 combined for their 2 road trips to Seattle. The only bright spot for Multnomah was that their keeper Kyle finally hooked up with a member of the opposite sex. Way to go Kyle, now stay away from the women with Adams Apples.
Game 2 on Sunday was Huron at Bigfoot. Huron completed their weekend sweep keeping there perfect record intact by beating Bigfoot 9-4.
Lucky for Huron, they had 5 more guys show up to give fill up their roster and got 9 goals from 8 different players. Great team effort!!!
TOP PERFORMERS
The entire Huron Team
Kyle Mecham, G Multnomah. Kyle now has scored twice in Seattle, at least once with a female.
Games to Watch
4/1 Bigfoot @ Crease Monkeys
This game should be a battle, both teams have great midfielders and solid keepers.
4/8 Coopers @ Huron
The battle of the undefeated. This should be a classic.
