RECAPS

Saturday saw rival Multnomah and Bigfoot square off for the second time this year. Unlike the first game, this one was a battle until the end.
Nomah, despite being outnumbered by about 20, was able to jump out to an early lead and was able to push their lead to 4. However, Foot would not fade away, their numbers were useful as Nomah began to tire out towards the end. Multnomah sacked up and was able to win their 7th game in a row 9-7. This was a great team effort from Nomah, they had scoring from 8 different players.
On Saturday Tentawon and Huron matched up for the last game of their seasons. Huron, who dropped their last two games, was looking to get back on the right track smashed Tentawon and secured 1st place in the playoffs. Huron ended the season 10 and 2 and looks to cruise through the playoffs on their way to a championship.

The growth of the game I love is very exciting and is great to see. What I don’t like is the fact that there are individuals who have used this growth as their own political launching platforms. These individuals have the audacity to say they are single handedly responsible for the growth of the game in the state. I don’t deny that they have had a hand in the growth but it’s not on them alone, a lot of people have helped this sport grow and don’t ask anything in return.
The power and respect that these individuals have has not been earned and is baffling to me. Now they are using that power to try to kill a program that will further the growth of the game in the state. This program was set up for the love of the game and to teach this game to kids, not to serve one’s ego.
I beg these individuals to please get over themselves, this game is bigger than they are and will continue to row with or without them. I believe in their path to help the game grow, pride has clouded their judgment. If they are truly about growing the game of lacrosse in the state they will let go of their egos and let those of us who are not out for personal accolades do our part to help the game.
Hope everyone has a great week and make sure to keep your stick in the box.
Cheers,
