Lakeside Upsets Northshore In a Shootout on Senior Night

Northshore and Lakeside squared off on Lakeside's senior night in a game that had serious playoffs implications. Lakeside started the scoring with a goal within the first 6 seconds of play from David Jamison off of an assist from Jernudd, and didn't stop until they came away with a win.

Lakeside went up 3-0 within the first 3 or 4 minutes, but Northshore quickly struck back with 2 nice goals. From there though it was all Lakeside for the rest of the first half, as it was 12-5 at the break, with 5 goals from Sten Jernudd and 3 assists from Hector Rhodes to go along with 2 nice rips from Sam Ballmer. After halftime though, Northshore showed some serious fight and they started to come back. Lakeside was locking off Taylor Wisman the whole game, and while he still was productive, he couldn't do what he normally does. At the end of 3 Lakeside was up 4.

They managed to hang on in the last few minutes, and ended up winning 16-12. Hard fought game from both teams.  TheLions advanced to 7-5-0 locked in a 6th place tie with Northshore in the Northeast Conference.
