Issaquah Matches Mercer at Mukilteo 15-1

Mukilteo's D1 Introduction continued last night with another tough game against Issaquah.  The knights would have a full roster, but an empty stomache after a tough outing two times in a row.

Issaquah got on the board early with the first 2 goals goals.  Mukilteo's Riley Wanzer scored early in the first quarter but after that the Issaquah Defense paid strict attention to stopping him.  For the remainder of the game Issaquah played error free defense with both their goalkeepers sharing time and stopping every shot they saw the rest of the night.

Wanzer played both ways bringing out his long pole to try and stop the bleeding.  Issauquah's Offense looked sharp and picked apart the Mulilteo defense with most of their goals coming of assists.  Mulilteo played with pride, got some good looks at the cage but didn't have much success against the defending State Champs. One thing to keep in mind, in Mukilteo's first two outings against the two state finalists from last year as their first effort in Division 1, should be assessed as that.  Out of the 20 division I programs, only a few will be able to make Mercer or Issaquah a game.
