Kennedy nets first win in 13 – 3 lax win over Evergreen

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Stephanie Moffat scored four goals while Brianna Goodwin added three goals and two assists to lead Kennedy past the Evergreen, 13-3 for its first win of the season, Saturday at McKenzie Stadium in Vancouver. The Lancers scored 20 seconds into the contest, and took a 4-0 lead after the first five minutes of play. Kennedy shut Evergreen out in the first half, with Lancer goalie Jessika Lackie registering six saves in the contest. Sara Ornelas scored twice in the second half for Evergreen, while goalie Dawn Lumen made seven saves after taking over in the nets at halftime.  Both teams return to action Tuesday; Kennedy (2-1-1) entertains Mercer Island, while Evergreen (0-3) travels to Forest Ridge.

Reilly’s 8 points leads Snohomish past Wenatchee in girls lax

WENATCHEE – Kaya Reilly tallied a season high 8 points with 5 goals and 3 assists to lead Snohomish to a 17 – 9 girls Division II high school lacrosse win over Wenatchee, Saturday at Westside High School.  Snohomish jumped out to an 11 – 4 halftime lead before cruising to their 5th win of the season.  Taylor Christensen netted 5 goals and 5 ground balls, while Katie Kottkamp had 9 saves in goal for Wenatchee. Snohomish (5-3-1) next faces Ballard in a 5:15 p.m. start on Wednesday, March 30 at Harvey Air Field.  Wenatchee (1-3-0) next faces Ballard in a 5:30 p.m. start on Wednesday, April 12 at Ballard High School
