Games on 4/15.
Vancouver/ Vancouver – The battle of B.C. pitted the 0-3 Sea Spray vs their neighbors from the mainland rocking a 3-1 record. While we did not have a Walax.com reporter on scene, this must have been a spirited affair. The 10-8 victory for Vancouver kept the John Bs bar boys cemented in 2nd place in the league. With a week off for PNLA, Vancouver is looking forward to a couple home games against Kavu and the Crease Monkeys the last weekend of April. If they can sweep the games that weekend – Vancouver will remain in the hunt for the top seed come playoff time.

Seattle/ Blue Collar – The question for Blue Collar was how many goals could they churn out for the 2006 season. They have a lot of weapons on offense, so it has been a surprise that they have not managed to score more than seven goals a game thus far in the ’06 campaign. Against a stout Seattle backline anchored by the man between the pipes, the test was always going to be stern. The 8-5 victory for Seattle kept SLC in the mix for one of the playoff spots – and kept Collar winless for the season. However, there is a lot of lacrosse left – and an inspired run by BC could find themselves challenging for of one the final playoff berths.
Crease Monkeys/ Kavu – Well, it was a beautiful Spring day for the CM/ Kavu rematch from their thrilling 11-10 game two weeks ago. With a steady rain and temps in the high 40s, the crowd was in full voice (all 10 of them) as they braved the elements to watch some up-tempo lacrosse.
Kavu came ready to play and jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead. The Monkey squad looked a little flat to open and it showed with a lot feet cemented into the field turf as Kavu rung the bell. Alas, the joy of a 2-0 lead did not last long, as the Crease Monkeys managed to rattle off the next 10 goals of the game. The Monkeys found their groove in all facets of their offense. There were cuts and feeds for goals, fast break and unsettled situation goals, as well as some solid 6v6 offense. The 6v6 aspect has been missing for much of the season, so watch out for this offense if they can find this level of consistency on their road trip up north the weekend of April 29-30. The Monkeys are finding their groove with a 3-game win streak – but their mettle will be tested at the Juan de Fuca velodrome and back on mainland B.C. the following day.
