Northshore Runs in Stride, Bainbridge Juggernaut Dominates

Everyone is wondering how Northshore will stack up to the building chasm in the parity of division one, including Bainbridge.  Bainbridge may have the most talent top to bottom in their seniors, and depth, Northshore has some cohesive bond best described as magic.

Bainbridge brought the artillery in the first quarter, shelling dransfield with 14 shots, and scoring 8 of those.  Northshore seemed a little unsure playing a top-tier team for the first time ever. At the end of one, Bainbridge led 8-2 .The second quarter would belong to Northshore. Making up the goal difference, and narrowing the lead to 4, Northshore played with passion and good ball movement.  In the last half of the second, this became a comeback story. Deep in the half, BI's Snow clears the ball hitting Ostensen for number 12.  Answered by Foster Wisman dodging down the middle for an unassisted finish adding number 7 for Northshore.  Dossett works some magic, putting in a no angle shot, and Northshore's comeback drew within four, 12-8 Bainbridge.

The third would start to show the difference between ability and depth.   After beating a man-down opportunity, Snow buries a rocket over Dransfields shoulder lefty, and Bainbridge slows the tide with the first of the third.  BI leads 13-8, early in the third.  Foster Wisman hits brother Taylor who hits Hadley for number 9, as Northshore keep it even.  On a man-up, Wagner tallies two goals before the penalty expires, and BI steps it up leading 15-9.  Jordan Wagner puts the team on his back, adding his third goal in a row unanswered in the third.  Bainbridge came out firing in the third, leading 16-9.  Wagner scores again, putting his fourth on the board followed by Nguyen who is having a huge night.

The fourth would see the bainbridge pace quicken, and the Northshore pace slow.  On a broken man-down clear, Foster Wisman scores with 8:30 remaining to make it 18-10.  Nguyen scores again, and BI is in command.  The spartans hit their stride a little late, exploiting a failed clear as Nguyen pumps one in on an empty net. Wagner punches in another off the crease and with 5 minutes remaining, BI puts it out of reach. Deery-Schmidt scores as well. Wagner scores another totalling 23 points against Northshore.  Foster Wisman closes the scoring with number 11 for Northshore.

Kevin Nguyen had a big game with 5g2a, followed by 5g for Wagner and 3g1a for knight, Snow and Ostensen.  Foster Wisman went 4g2a, Dossett had 3g1a, and Hadley went 2g1a. Northshore has to feel good about scoring 110 goals, they definitely belong in DI. Bainbridge continues to dominate competition, still putting pieces together early in the season.
