2010 Walax Summer League

With over 10 years experience behind us, you can count on Walax to provide the best summer lacrosse experience in the state. At the end of each year we look back on the sessions we’ve offered and look at ways to continually improve those leagues and the learning experience we provide our customers.

In the current economic climate we understand that money may be tight and at times like these, recreational activities become a luxury. Just like other parents we spend hours researching summer options for our kids and trying to balance activities they want to attend with making sure it’s the best possible experience at the best possible price.   For this reason we’ve taken our price down to those of 2007 with our summer league costing $100 for an 8 week session and as always, goalies play for free* (Redmond and Seattle Only).

This year we are extremely happy to announce 2 new summer locations to compliment our long time location at Marymoor Park in Redmond. This year we will be holding sessions in Seattle at Ballard HS/Queen Anne Bowl and also in North Sound at Strawberry Fields in Marysville. Each location will have a slightly different focus.

The Redmond Summer League will continue as an 8 week, 90 min session one a week. We offer an instructional session for beg/int. players with less than 2 years experience. Players will work on skill development in a clinic format. Each session will also allow for informal scrimmages so players can put these new skills to the test. The Advanced sessions offer team based league games. Team rosters and schedules will be published with each assigned a team coach. The Redmond Summer League will be held at Marymoor Park.

The North Sound Summer League will focus on 8 weeks of practice, including drills, scrimmage, and fundamentals with proven coaches improving two age groups of players: 5^th/6^th and 7th/8th grade. With 16 practices, and 2 guaranteed play dates, the skills improvement and the fundamental instruction will make every player who participates, a better player while having a great time in the summer.  In additional there will be a regular (non-play date) league for 3^rd and 4^th grade players. The North Sound Summer League will be held at Strawberry Fields

Our Seattle program is designed to develop individual fundamentals, player character and teach student-athletes how their skills and character fit into a larger team effort. The program is divided into an Intro Clinic, 5 Development League dates and 3 “Advancing your Game” Clinics. This program is open to players in 3^rd grade through 8^th grade.  The Seattle Development League will be held at Ballard High School.
