Summer League FAQ's

Which session do I sign my son or daughter up for?

Whatever grades your son or daughter will be entering in the fall of 2009. So if they just graduated grade 6, then they will be signing up for the middle school session grade 7-8th.

Are any of these leagues for beginners?

For youth and MS we split our leagues into beginner and elite. This was hugely successful so again, we have set up an entire league just for beginners. All of our beginner sessions will take place on turf field 3 at Marymoor Park. We have created these leagues to specifically focus on the fundamentals and to build on those skills. Each session will be geared towards beginners and those with less than 2 years experience.

Our youth leagues will have 3 or more coaches per session to ensure everyone gets the instruction they need. Our summer leagues are the best way to start your lacrosse career under the instruction of some of the best local coaches and players. We have designed these leagues to meet the needs of first timers all the way up too the most experienced high school lacrosse players. There is no better way to learn or continue your Lacrosse experience throughout the summer. DON'T PUT YOUR STICK DOWN!!!

What if I sign up for beginner but after the first session feel I should be in the advanced league?

Our coaches will continually assess all of our beginner leagues and more people up to the advanced sessions if they feel their skills will be better suited in that league. We have organized our summer league schedule so that in most cases the advanced session will also take place at the same day and time but on Field 3. This will allow an easy transition for players making that jump to the advanced sessions.

What about more experienced players?

We will be running advanced sessions from 5th grade up allowing competitive play for more advanced players. All of our younger advanced sessions will take place on Field 4 at Marymoor Park.

By creating a beginners and elite summer league it’ll allow for faster and better play in the Elite league. Our youth leagues will also have coaches to build on players skills. We’ll also have refs to officiate and allow coaches to focus on the teams in more detail.

How many times do you play a week during summer league?

You will attend summer league once a week on your respective day for one hour games.  If your time slot has several times listed your time will change each week depending upon your game schedule, but you will always play on your assigned day.

What type of equipment is required?

Boys: Helmet, gloves, Arm Pads, Shoulder Pads, Cup, Mouth Guard, and a stick.

Girls: Goggles, mouth guard, and a stick

How do I get to Marymoor Park

Follow these directions: Marymoor Park, Redmond, WA (field 3 and 4)

Should I sign up now or wait to the summer?

Each year we fill up early and have to waitlist and turn people away. This year we have expanded our sessions to allow some growth but demand is always high for our leagues so please sign up early to secure your spot. Once we start wait-listing it’s very doubtful that we will be able to get additional field time at that date.
