EVERETT, Wash.  -- With Saturday’s West Division Final win over the Calgary Roughnecks, the Washington Stealth have announced that it will host the 2013 NLL Championship Game Presented by Reebok in Langley, British Columbia, located just 10 minutes north of the U.S.-Canada border. The Stealth defeated the Roughnecks 14-13 to earn its third trip to the NLL Championship Game in the last four years. The decision to play the Saturday, May 11 NLL title game in Langley was made after Comcast Arena, the team’s home in Everett, Wash., was booked throughout the weekend of May 10-12.

SEATTLE – Tonight’s Washington state boys prep lacrosse matchup between Mercer Island High School and defending boys state champion Bellevue High School will be streamed live on The Lacrosse Network as the Washington State High School Lacrosse Game of the Week. The boys varsity game, which gets underway at 8 p.m. PDT, Friday, May 3 from Bellevue High School in Bellevue, Washington, is the ninth of a 13-game prep schedule in Washington state to be streamed live on YouTube via The Lacrosse Network.

It's hard to write about Kevin Giblin without first rattling off his achievements. Nine IAC titles. Two Inside Lacrosse national championships. A 400-85 record at Georgetown Prep with 200 players matriculating to Division I, including 35 high school All-Americans. That's all rather astonishing. His innate knowledge for the sport of lacrosse got him to 400 wins, but perhaps more so his fiery coaching style. Giblin is as passionate as they come and while he may apply tough love to his players, his tactics have been effective, while his ability to teach his pupils is unmatched. Biggest news of the week came from the Sammamish Plateau as Eastlake beat Issaquah for the first time in program history!  Coach O’Dougherty’s boys won the groundball war and used a well balanced offense that saw seven different goal scorers to defeat Issaquah 9-6.  The win goes a long way to potentially securing the KingCo East Conference championship for the Wolves which would mean a #1 seed and a first round playoff bye. Picked by many to finish 3^rd in the conference behind Issaquah and Skyline, the Wolves have already beaten both programs by a combined 25-12 and are in the driver’s seat!

EVERETT, Wash. – The Washington Stealth advanced to the West Division Final of the National Lacrosse League playoffs after exploding for 10 second-half goals to earn a 12-11 come-from-behind semi-final win over the Edmonton Rush, Saturday before 3,022 at Everett’s Comcast Arena. The win propelled the Stealth to its third trip in the past four years to the West Division Final next Saturday, May 4 where they will take on the Calgary Roughnecks.

Blake Lee’s overtime winner capped a 5 goal night for the midfielder as Eastside Catholic knocked off Bainbridge 9-8!  Colin Schriever recorded an astonishing 26 saves in the win.  This was a big win for the Crusaders having dropped an overtime game to King’s Way earlier this year. Later in the week, Bainbridge rebounded to take a 9-8 win of their own over King’s Way.  The Spartans trailed by two in the 4^th quarter before mounting the comeback.
